About the artist

Hi, I'm Desirée De León! 

I'm a former 7th grade science teacher and a current PhD neuroscience student. I'm inspired by the complexities of the brain and the possibilities of a blank canvas! In 100 Days of Tiny Things, you can catch a glimpse of the world as I see it.

In this series, I've created over one hundred original ink drawings. Each of them features a tiny, real object in order to illustrate how that which seems familiar can still surprise us.

I'd like to share some of my pieces with you here as printed reproductions of the original drawings. You can see the entire series as it continues to grow on my Instagram page @dcossyle. I hope that you are simultaneously delighted and surprised!
